Wanted: Clean and Safe Water

The images that Americans see of third world nations are dreadful and frightening. The media shows us images of poverty, hunger, and despair that seem very far from home. We see children who are malnourished and entire families who are infected with life threatening diseases. We see people living in deplorable and unsanitary environments and we recognize that something has to be done. We cannot rely on our government to do it. We must respond as individual citizens and share our wealth and knowledge with those who are most in need. Consider donating to Global Water. There are a number of different ways that you can participate in Global Water. There are opportunities for giving that are designed around your special talents. Beyond writing a check there are many creative ways for you to participate in this important organization. If you enjoy running or creating music there is a way for you to donate to Global Water. If you are an artist or a song writer or a business executive there is a way to participate in Global Water. There is simply no reason for you not to participate.

As you might have read before, Global Water is making a difference in the lives of people in third world countries. Drilling wells, installing pumps, and creating water supplies that are free of bacteria is an expensive endeavor with an immeasurable benefit.

There are 1 billion people on the planet without a safe water supply. This is an important issue and Global Water needs more supporters to continue its mission. We must wake up Americans and bring them to action for a global cause. Clean running water is an essential human right. How do we bring attention to this cause? In Boston hundreds of volunteers assembled a beautifully lit up room that displayed 50 billion water bottles caps. This depicted the number of water bottles that some of the Americans wastefully use yearly.

People gathered from colleges, high schools, and other public venues helped to produce this memorial to those who die every day from preventable, water-related diseases because clean water is not available.

Artists are not the only group who has become involved with Global Water. Recently LA marathon runners raised money for water projects. Plumbers or water companies can provide supplies as a donation. A company called Clearly Canadian Beverage Company partnered with Global Water to raise money through corporate donations and fundraising events. Their goal is to create safe water supply routes in Central America and South America. The list of ways to get involved does not stop. The issue of unsafe drinking water effects as many as 1 billion therefore the smallest donation or good deed will be helpful.

To the Right: LA marathon runners are participating in a event to raise money. Participants enjoy running the event and at the same time they are raising money for a good cause.

Global Water’s intention is to help as many people in need as possible. Think of all the ways you can get involved. CLICK ON THIS LINK NOW: https://npo.networkforgood.org/Donate/Donate.aspx?npoSubscriptionId=1002670&code=website%20homepage
